Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Association Scholarships

As another way of supporting the family and coworker survivors—and preserving the legacies of the fallen—every year we award a number of $1,000 college scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Priority will be given to Montgomery County, Ohio applicants who are: 

  1. Children of fallen law enforcement officers
  2. Family members of fallen law enforcement officers
  3. Family members of living law enforcement officers
  4. High school students intending to pursue a law enforcement career
  5. Reapplying scholarship recipients currently pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Forensics, Education, or Social Work

Scholarship funds are to be used to help cover the costs of tuition, books, and other fees associated with college degrees. Each scholarship will provide a one-time payment of $1,000 to be deposited directly to the chosen college. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university.

High school applicants must submit:
a) Transcripts of grades from Sophomore year through 1st semester Senior year
b) At least 2 letters of recommendation

Reapplying scholarship recipients must submit their most recent college transcripts, at least 2 letters of recommendation, and a personal letter describing how the scholarship helped them.

The Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Association Scholarship Committee will review all timely submitted applications and make the selections, and their decisions are final. All Scholarship Applications are due by midnight on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Applicants awarded a Scholarship will be contacted by a Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Association representative via the contact information provided in this application. All applicants will receive acceptance or denial letters.
